It is immersed in the third-world glamour of Bollywood films:a world fashioned by the Bombay underworld, corrupt government officials, wealthy industrialists,impoverished households, and star-crossed lovers. They are visions of petty criminals, selling drugs in the dark-lit alleys of ghetto neighborhoods, underpaid clerks, desperately trying to improve their financial condition through bribery and embezzlement, and individuals falling in love amid class struggles. They generate countless theatres, allowing for the simplest, cheapest, and closest-to-the-spirit-of-Bombay tourist attraction. However, the city is much more than that. It offers many historic, cultural, and recreational sites as well.
