Dr. Kiang has traveled throughout the world as an employee of the United Nations and has used his experience and sights as inspiration for his art. He uniquely blends the traditional images of Chinese works and calligraphy with contemporary images from around the world. Close to a hundred of Dr. Kiang’s two-dimensional and three-dimensional pieces will be on display or for sale. Local art experts declare Dr. Kiang’s works to be of masterful quality. The Asian Chamber of Commerce invites you to the first exhibition of this local artist in the beautiful setting of the Denver Botanic Gardens.

Judith Frey traces a medieval journey along the Silk Road trade routes of western Asia with photographs of Islamic art and architecture. Starting in Istanbul, Turkey and traveling through Iran, Afghanistan, and Uzbekistan, the survey features photos of Iran and Afghanistan taken in 1970 by Huntley Ingalls, whose work has appeared in National Geographic Magazine.

Lily Cai, former principal dancer of the Shanghai Opera House Dance Troupe, began blending ancient dance forms with contemporary technique when she started her dance company based in San Francisco. The show, Dynasties and Beyond, begins with a view of 200 years of Chinese dance. The music is Western, the movement reflective of the Chinese relationship to space and the Qi concept of energy flow.
